Tim and Julie met online in a chat forum known by its followers as 365. Tim was going through a divorce and had previously encountered several other friendships which had had varying degrees of success from online encounters. By the time he met Julie in July he had been out with a total of 9 women since his break up with his wife. Julie had broken up from her husband and was also going through a divorce and had wondered onto 365 in the hope of some mental solace during the difficult months ahead. She, too, had had the opportunity to meet several people all from this medium, unlike Tim, whose encounters were from several different areas of internet dating and various other mediums. Julie met a total of 8 partners all with varying degrees of success. She had come to realize how different men were and coming from a limited experience of men having been married at a very young age found the experience and the attention fascinating.

When they started talking online together they were both verging on entering relationships with others but were beginning to feel a little jaded by the experience. They spoke online for two days the first time for about an hour. The day after it proceeded to talking exclusively for four hours followed by a phone call for about three hours. The following day they ended up speaking through the night and decided that their original decision to meet in two weeks time had to be in 3 days time at the weekend. On meeting they literally melted into each others arms and knew they had to stay together forever as they had found each others soul mate. They stayed together that night and left each other the following day. Tim returned to his part of the countryside 5 hours away and returned the following day to stay outside of Julie's work until she finished each day, staying with her overnight each night and day until the end of the week when Julie returned with him to meet his family.

This was the beginning of a short fast courtship which has ended up in the couple living together (within 10 days) and getting engaged within 5 months. Tim and Julie both plan to marry once their divorces are through.
