Hi there, now I know you must get hundreds of stories like this - otherwise your site wouldn't be so good :o) but I thought I'd let you know mine too.

Following the breakup of my marriage in May 2000 I started spending more and more time on the internet, mainly in chat rooms to while away my time. Most people I spoke to were really nice, and struck up a couple of good internet friendships with them. Then one night. June 30th to be exact.

I started chatting to someone known only to me as "Toni281894806".  From the first time I spoke to her something inside me just clicked.  I don't know to this day what it was, but it's something that has grown day by day ever since. The second night we chatted, we were up all night until gone 8 in the morning, just talking away about anything and everything, something and nothing.

After that night, whenever I went online, my first thought was to see if she was online. If she wasn't, I'd turn the computer off and try again a couple of hours later in the hope that I'd be able to talk to her again. She captivated me. During one of the conversations I gave her my mobile number and told her that she could call me anytime she wanted to. Surely enough a couple of weeks later, my phone rang and it was her. I was amazed that someone this wonderful would want to take time out and phone me! I couldn't think of anything to say to her so it was a bit awkward at first! Since then, we have chatted almost everyday either online, on the phone, or via text messages on our mobiles. Regularly our bills show over 600 texts sent to each other per month! We had by this time exchanged photos, and i found her just as attractive on the outside as i did on the inside. We had so much in common it was almost unbelievable!

I had asked her to meet me on numerous occasions, but we both still had millstones around our neck from previous relationships, and we decided to wait until things could be as perfect as they could be before we met. Then Christmas came, and out of the blue, after her works night out, she phoned me saying that she couldn't wait any longer to meet me! She lived about 100 miles away from me, and I was looking after my kids for the week, but that didn't stop me from driving down to see her and bringing her back to my house, if only for the one night.

We got on even better in person than on the phone or the net. I was truly in love with her. Never had I experienced a love so strong before. Since that first meeting she has visited me twice more, once for New Years when her son came with her, and again for a weekend visit last weekend. We both hate the time we have to spend apart, but we know its going to be a fairy tale ending, and our love travels the distance (both in time and miles) and keeps us both strong.

We continued seeing each other every weekend until March 30th when Toni and her son Alex moved in with me. We are now engaged and looking forward to spending many happy years together. Our children get on really well too which makes such a difference. Our love for each other still grows stronger day by day. I just want to say a big thank you to Toni for making me the happiest person alive!

For as many horror stories there are about internet relationships, each one that works out right and brings this much happiness to two people, make it all worthwhile.

Just thought id give you a quick update on our story!
We're getting married on December 1st 2001 - as soon as i have some pictures i'll send them to you!
